Set Your Love Free
The elevator to my career travels fast on some floors and stalls on others no matter how hard I press the button to gain access to the next floor. In retrospect, I am humbled to learn I am not as well prepared as I think in my experience level or expertise in a certain skill set. I love the sweet and warm feeling of success but the road to getting there is less desirable and a labor of intense struggles.
One of my favorite quotes is, “If you love something set it free, if it doesn’t return it was never meant to be. If it does love it forever.” I pour my heart and soul into securing the things that I love and desire to achieve. This love is one that is unconditional and is often overwhelming to maintain when things become off balance. The things that I love can hurt and send me into a whirlwind of emotions and changes that are not always easy to accept.
I challenge myself to run the race of life in a sprint and not through overexertion by running from the past or trying to rush the present. Today, who and where I am in my career is from several years of making mistakes, gaining knowledge, seeking guidance and pooling together the resources it takes to achieve my goals.
I am setting the things that I love free and when they return I will appreciate the reunion and the many blessings it may offer.

All of our experiences make us who we are. I used to always have the end in mind, now I'm considering what happens to me along the way.
