The Manny Factor

Ok, so you probably figured out by now that Vivacious Vicki loves baseball. Adores her Yankees. And above all, finds symbolism in even the most trite circumstances. Consider this: Manny Ramirez of the rival Red Sox is a troublemaker. He'll probably be traded by the time this blog is live but he badmouths the brass in the front office, ahem his employer. He doesn't seem to play well with others. He rarely hustles to first base when he hits a ball that can be deemed a single.

So when someone toxic is in a team environment, let's say your department at work, what do you do? As a manager it seems you'd completely address the issues one on one but have you ever had someone who has made such a negative impact that it completely affects others in the group? Morale and productivity to say the least.

While some Manny fans may argue and rightly so that the man can hit and has a wicked batting average (yes, I totally said wicked), when it comes to teamwork despite all of the talent in the world you'd want to work alongside a professional both on the field and off. Kind of like our Derek Jeter.
