Bold is the New Black

Yes, you’ve heard it here! Be bold. Be strong. Be proud. You know exactly what you want and now you’re ready to get it. Then fear sets in. Forget fear, and go for what you know. Someone has to step up in business and it might as well be you. Rock the boat, speak your mind and have a plan when everyone thinks you’ve totally lost it.

-Wear hot stilettos to work.
-Use some color in your makeup besides blah brown.
-Invite everyone to happy hour.
-Start a charity.
-Start your own business.
-Let everyone at work know what your secret passion is. Bring your belly dancing hip scarf to work and let loose in the lunchroom.
-Paint someone’s portrait at work if you’re an artist.
-Develop a presentation to save your company money and then present it to the big wigs!
-Ask the person that no one talks to at work what he or she likes to do in their free time.
-Smile at people as you hold the door open for them.
-Ask your boss what you need to do in order to move up in the company. Then do it!
-Start writing that book you always wanted to write and self publish it online.
-Take the T.V. out of your bedroom.
-Bring cards and board games to work to play at lunch, before work or after work. Play nice. It’s a great way to network with people who might promote you later.
-Buy a pair of shoes or earrings out of your comfort zone.
-Run around the block for no reason.

Just do something different. Say something different. Go somewhere different. Live life and step in the shoes of someone else for a day. You might find a new talent or passion. Encourage your friends and family to do this with you or give you ideas. I’m sure they already have ideas of how you could live your life differently.

So what are you going to do???

Nice blog.

I like it "Bold is the New Black" what a great catch phrase. My personal motto is "I will no longer fight me" besides life is too short to hide your true self and intentions. I am working on the book I always knew I had in me to write. Thanks Magic hands this is a refreshing read.
