HOW TO STAY POSITIVE IN A NEGATIVE WORLD....
Two words. Two simple words. TAKE ACTION.
You are in control of your life - no one else. Not your boss. The dramatic news. Your husband, family, or yoga teacher. In this world of negativity, you MUST TAKE CONTROL. And lead the way for yourself. And remember, YOU ARE ENOUGH AS YOU ARE. Because you are.
There was a time in my life that I felt lost in my career. Confused. Wondering what my next step would be. Wondering whether I would take another job, or not. Wondering if I would start my own business and go for it. I decided after much thought, that I wanted to live through my passion, give up my false security, and live through my dreams. So, I pressed my own "go" button and went for it. I have never looked back.
Yes, right now times are tough. But there are always tough times - even when times aren't tough. It all comes down to attitude. A belief in yourself. And the willingness to look in the mirror each morning, and believe in YOU. You control your destiny. You control your thoughts. And you are enough to rule your own world. Positivity is an attitude, a belief, the freedom within to expand your goals.
Now, more than ever, you need to lead the way for others. And TAKE ACTION. Don't think about tomorrow. Don't think about the past. Let go of any fears. Put on your cheerleader outfit and rah-rah yourself into your own today. You can do it. Because you were born to do so.

This is a perfect message. We are enough as we are and there is power in believing that. Thanks for sharing this.

Thank you for this inspiring and upbeat message. I had the pleasure of witnessing Dr. Maya Angelou speak at a womens conference that also featured Tory Johnson in Boston a couple of years ago. What I took from Dr. Angelou is that it is important to say “thank you” to our mentors, leaders, and those people in our life who shine on our path. She also encouraged us to think about where the “light stops shining”… She webbed a beautiful story of how one mentor of hers, an uncle, had encouraged and nurtured her to grow in her education. Imagine…this impact on her and how she, in turn, has inspired so many others. I guess this is a reminder that you never know who you will encourage and how the change you inspired in that person will inspire another, and another…creating many lights on a path connecting us all.
Thank you, Guest Gabber, for being a light today. You can read my full blog entry on this experience at http://youheardithear.wordpress.com/2008/11/09/this-little-light-of-mine/
