Book: I think it changes every time I pick up something new I like. Right now I’m reading Please Kill Me by Legs McNeiland Gillian McCain and it’s wildly interesting.

Album: That’s tough, I’m a music buff so it’s hard to decide…

Snack: Triscuits and cheese.

Time of Day: I’m a night owl, I like writing and thinking and hanging out with friends late into the night.

When I was younger I wanted to be a grown up! And a writer. Little did I know, I would probably never fully be either… haha.

The thing I value most about my job is…

I love that I have opportunity to be around so many bright and dynamic women all day, learning about effective business practices, and seeing the endless possibilities that are available to women today.

The one thing I have to do everyday is…

I have to check my email. I’m obsessed.

The biggest fear I have conquered is…

Moving to New York from the west coast pushed a lot of boundaries for me, now I feel fearless in a lot of ways.

More About Me

Megan Martin started her career only a few years ago after graduating from San Francisco State University with a degree in journalism. Her first “real” job was as a music editor for a lifestyle publication in San Francisco called SOMA Magazine. She moved to New York shortly thereafter where she pursued freelance writing for various print and online publications, and held temporary positions in the music publishing and fashion industries. Currently she is a marketing coordinator at Women For Hire, as well as founder and Editor in Chief of Working Class Magazine, a Brooklyn-based publication for creative types who live and work in New York.
