Just Do It Dana

When I was younger, I wanted to be… a doctor, mainly because my psychic grandma told me so.

The one thing I have to do everyday is… one thing? I have do many things: shower, drink a lot of water and be outside! I love to walk.

The biggest fear I have conquered is…
Fear-who cares? I don't live my life in fear. You could get hit by a bus on an idle tuesday, freak accidents happen all the time and they are not something you can prepare for or avoid so why be scared?

More about me:
All you need to know about me is summed up in my Kindergarton Report Card from January of 1989 at the American School in London:

Dana's personality is in many ways akin to her art work-bold, bright and instantly recognizable. She takes a stand on issues such as what character she wants to be in a game, and she does not budge from her decision. Dana tells others just what she thinks. She can be bossy at times, with mixed results. Sometimes her attitude allows her to make decisions and plans she likes. At other times it alienates potential friends. She chooses friends who share her enthusiasm for activity and a zest for living fully. Dana is less able to relate to milder personalities. She grabs for materials such as snacks or crayons which are placed on a table to share. She is starting to practice a bit of self-control at this point in the year.

When Dana is on her own, either on the playground or in class, sometimes she seems lost in distant thought. Occasionally she seems uncomfortable. Dana does not like to discuss her sad feelings with us. We try to help Dana feel comfortable sharing all parts of herself with us. She has humor and imagination to offer and we are pleased to have her as a member of the class.

Since then, not much has changed. I was born in Canada, lived in England as a child and have lived in California for most of my life. I grew up in Danville, CA and now I live in Brooklyn, New York. In May 2005 I graduated from SDSU in Public Relations with honors and I am an alum.
