The Wellness Woman

When I was younger, I wanted to be...
a million things! When I was very young - Shera, Princess of Power, and when I got a little older, an athletic director for a university.

The thing I value most about my job is...
my day-to-day interactions with clients, students, and families. I value that my work is mutually empowering. If I’m doing my job, my clients benefit, and so do I, in what I learn from them.

The thing that bothers me most about my job is...

there are days when I work with small children and see the weight of their world on their shoulders.

The one thing I have to do everyday is...
be outside and go on a walk. (That’s two-I cheated!)

The biggest fear I have conquered is...
following my gut when it was the harder thing to do.

Book:
Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger and A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson

Song or Album: Anything by Coldplay or the Steve Miller Band

Snack: Peanut butter…on just about anything.

Time of day and why...
Morning. I’m calm, peaceful, and loaded with energy…another whole day full of potential is ahead.

Guilty pleasure:
Laying out by a body of water with a good magazine and a Dr. Brown’s Diet Black Cherry Cola.

Quote: Denis Waitley said, “Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.” It is a goal for me!
